Where sustainability meets functionality.

We partnered with New Balance to activate two rooms for their Pan Regional Conference at the Intercontinental Hotel in Sydney. The event brought together marketing and sales managers across the APAC region, which discussed new products and strategic plans with American global representatives. Our team developed the creative concept from the ground up, focusing on sustainable solutions

Our task was to create environmentally conscious activations that were both affordable and easy to install within a limited timeframe. To ensure the team had enough time to merchandise all the areas before the event, we had to work within a tight window for both the bump in and out. As a solution, we produced and tested the structures in-house at Dashing’s production facilities.

Boronia Ballroom: The home of cardboard! Free-standing walls, cubby holes and changing rooms composed the space, all made of 10mm craft Reboard. Tables used recycled pallets stacked as a base with a Reboard topper. The graphics were printed on 10mm Reboard or PVC Vinyl, making 99% of the manufactured elements recyclable.

Acacia Room: Freestanding white timber structures filled the room, telling different stories through digital screens and projections. Drapes, fixturing and shelves held and revealed the products, creating an exciting journey inside the space.

The custom curtains and runway cladding were uniquely tailored to create a bespoke “stage” that showcased the brand logo and colours. We received amazing feedback from NB’s regional manager, saying ‘the rooms looked impressive and epic’.
