The Hermès brand is at the forefront of visual merchandising and it was a pleasure to once again collaborate with local artist Studio Chen Lu on the industrial design, production and sourcing of this bespoke window display on Collins Street in Melbourne.
Through the industrial design process, we transformed their sketches and concept into a beautiful and layered physical display.
This included fabrication of the back of the cave from clear acrylic, the curved cave structure which was individual pieces of corflute cut to shape, an opal acrylic floor which allowed changing colours of light to shine through and a final touch of theatre from the fox which was cut to shape and hand-assembled with spacers to add depth and visual interest to the window.
