To celebrate the golden age of travel, we partnered with July to design, build, and install a bespoke six-month activation within Sydney Airport’s International Terminal. Drawing inspiration from 20th-century travel posters and the iconic beach club culture of the time on the Australian coast, the pop-up features a warm, buttery colour palette that captures the essence of a perpetual summer. Every material was deliberately selected to align with July’s brand aesthetic, creating an inviting environment that entices travellers to explore the collection while navigating the bustling terminal.

The 22.2-square-meter site was engineered to balance form and function, utilising a minimalistic design language that ensures the product remains the hero of the space. Dashing Group maximised the available footprint to create a high-impact visual presence that remained fully compliant with airport regulations. To ensure operational efficiency, the structure is fully powered and features a lockable design, allowing for a seamless daily setup and pack-down process for the duration of the residency.

The activation prioritises an inclusive brand experience by offering a “fun” moment for every passenger, regardless of their intent to purchase. This engagement is anchored by an interactive photo moment powered by July’s AI technology, seamlessly integrated into the environment. Travellers were invited to choose a dream destination and take a photo, with the AI instantly placing them within their selected city landscape. Once the digital journey was complete, users could print their personalised photo on-site, providing them with a unique physical keepsake to carry on their trip.
