King Living launched a new era of sofa design with its youthful, playful and effortlessly stylish Freeform Collection with a pop-up at Westfield Bondi Junction. The challenge for Dashing was to turn this shift in tone into a physical experience that blended cutting-edge comfort with premium finishes, while attracting a new, younger audience.
Our Approach
Dashing created an immersive space shaped by the campaign’s warehouse-cool aesthetic with neutral tones, rendered textures and an elevated industrial vibe. A striking double-sided display wall framed the space: an outward-facing LED screen catching shoppers on the move, and an inward-facing lightbox holding attention. Freeform sofas invited easy trial, supported by clear aspirational content highlighting modularity, Rebound technology and next-day delivery.
Two engagement moments kept the energy high. “Review to Win” invited shoppers to sit, scan and share for a chance to win a $5,000 voucher, driving reviews and database growth. Later in the week, the space shifted gears with an “Instant Win” moment, using the modular plinth to reveal prizes and spark weekend buzz. Careful flow planning ensured smooth movement between entry, trial and play.
The Result
The pop-up merged aspiration with accessibility, giving King a credible foothold with a younger, design-savvy audience. High-impact finishes drew foot traffic, interactive mechanics fuelled dwell time, and the seamless sit-scan-shop journey nudged customers from curiosity to conversion.
