The Star Entertainment Group approached Dashing to craft an elevated Christmas experience for their Sydney and Brisbane precincts, positioning them as true ‘facilitators of fun.’
Our task was to activate these expansive venues with impactful, immersive displays that seamlessly align with The Star’s brand pillars and luxury aesthetic.
Our Approach
Our Creative Strategy was built around The Star’s ‘One Star, Many Stories’ ethos, reimagining their many stories as precious, multi-faceted gemstones—each reflecting light, movement, and life happening at The Star. This led to the creation of ‘Faceted Festivities’: a narrative brought to life with richly hued, ever-changing displays of colour, light, and texture—an immersive, premium Christmas experience that delivered on The Stars core brand pillars:

Creating a Cohesive Precinct Experience
We brought the ‘Faceted Festivities’ concept to life with installations that provided an immersive, unified experience across multiple large spaces, across Sydney and Brisbane, including:
Faceted Christmas Tree Clusters – Show-stopping, multi-sized, dichroic-finished trees, inspired by The Star’s many stories, offering curated flexibility to each venue’s unique needs.
Immersive Entrances – ‘Surprise and delight’ moments for guests – featuring dazzling tiered faceted trees and cascading dichroic stars, providing a spectacular arrival moment and selfie hotspot.
Light & Colour – Throughout the precincts, the dichroic mirrored displays created a dynamic interplay of color, light, and movement. The ever-shifting reflection of warm and cool tones delivered an interactive sensory experience, enveloping guests in the ‘Faceted Festivities’ spirit.
The Result
‘Faceted Festivities’ captivated guests with immersive moments that reinforced The Star’s brand ethos around experience. This drove engagement, countless selfies and built a sense of wonder for The Star’s guests. Designed for longevity, this concept offers a platform for future growth—allowing The Star to keep the spirit of ‘Long Live Festive Fun’ alive for years to come.
